DIY STRETCH MARKS REMOVER

March 23, 2017

Hello beauties, normally I'm supposed to post Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays but I had to break the rules for this one. so I was going through a fitness and lifestyle group: healthy yummy mummies and she shared this tip. So I'm hoping iy works and decided to share with you all. So it's like we are doing it together.

So first of all, you need

1/4 cup of coconut oil
1 tbsp aloe vera gel
1tbsp vitamin e oil
A glass botlle.
I recycled my coconut oil bottle for this

FYI: aloe vera gel has a horrible smell so mind how you use it.
If you have castor oil please add a tea spoon but the only con is that it grows hair so your body hair might grow

So mix all these together and and apply on the affected area.

I hope this works for us. Please don't forget to share, comment and subscribe for more of this  and till my next diy...
XOXO

6 TYPES OF PEOPLE YOU WILL FIND IN WUSE MARKET, ABUJA

March 09, 2017

Hello beauties, how are you guys... So i have been so busy with everything...its really so amazing the way people are reacting to my blog this days....I'm really grateful.

So If you know Wuse market very well unto Abuja thingses or go you are just the let me just shop there and go home  then you will definitely relate to this or have encountered one or two....

1;  Women who just assume that if you are on your natural hair, it means you plan to make your hair especially in front of the Wuse market gate. they will just rush to your car..'aunty you wan plait hair" and you will say no and they'll just be giving you that why are you lying look.

2; People who cover your car with used cartons supposedly so sun will not make your car very hot but my car is always hot and they will now be expecting you to dash them small thing

3:All the hand holders....the nerve, they just see you and hold your hands and they'll now say "baby how you dey nah"" wetin you wan buy" especially the igbo guys....

4: That one trader that his/her shop is always filled with customers and the rest just start moping or giving you sign to come to their shop or carry one shoe and be showing you

5; That one customer that tells you it's cheap oooo when you are pricing something like say its their business and  that one customer that always give the ... no buy am, no buy am sign.

6; People who are always in a hurry... those ones are very annoying...imagine someone will see you buying something and the person will start screaming at the seller as if you that is there, you came to sleep there.

what are the things you have noticed in Wuse market?...
what are the things you will like to see in the blog?

please let me know and forget to comment, subscribe and share if you you found this post very interesting. I LOVE YOU FOR READING AND TILL MY NEXT POST
XOXO

5 LESSONS BIG BROTHER NAIJA HAS TAUGHT ME SO FAR

February 09, 2017

Hey guys..... How are y'all doing. Who are the big brother naija fans please hands up....let me know how many of you are really made in naija. So lately I have been following this big brother thingy(mostly on social media) and I must say I have so many things to say about it but I'll just mention a few.

1: Most Nigerians are not into Nigerian things. Do you know that Big Brother Naija isn't shot in Naija. How do they expect me to buy cassava bread when ordinary to do one TV show like Big Brother Naija they can't find one house around Maitama or Asokoro to do it and they will now be saying #buynaijatosavethenaira. Someone said because of light issue. Can't they buy fuel self.

2: Do not trust anyone especially people you meet in a survival of the fittest game show. Can you imagine that fair girl abi half cast girl denying knowing that guy cause they didn't come together and he's not her brother or boyfriend or church member. When they were doing loving loving and sweetie sweetie, she didn't know they didn't come together. Na wa for people o.

3: To sleep early: because the thing isn't so interesting to me i have learnt to sleep early  so I won't have to mistakenly watch it fully. The small small clips I'm  seeing on Instagram is OK for me.

4: Nigerians producers want only one group of celebrities to reign forever. Instead of them to look for people like us so we can win something or at least show our self  on TV. They will put people like Busola who is already popular with that programme where she married an Igbo guy and she was/is Yoruba and they are always quarrelling about tribal soup. See people like Uti Nwachukwu. Na big brother bring them out. Why not me. Lol.

5: Nothing last forever. One day you are in big bother naija house enjoying and smooching, the next day you are out miming on wazobia FM.

With the following point of mine I hope I have been able to convince you not confuse you that I love naija.

Are you watching Big brother Naija?
Who is your fave housemate?
What lessons have you learnt so far?

CLASSIC MAKEUP MATTE LIPGLOSS SWATCHES/REVIEW

October 22, 2016
Good morning dolls...

Hope everyone is doing great and doing serious clean up...So i was doing my Saturday clean up and when cleaning my recycled plate turned makeup rack i realized i got some Classic makeup lipglosses and I haven't done a review yet. So that's what I'm going to do today.

On one of my usual shopping visit to NEXT CASH AND CARRY KADO, ABUJA. I bought some makeup like blush, lipglosses etc and these Classic matte lipglosses were some of the things I got.  I have been craving for something matte cause at the time it was seriously trending and still is . So when i got there i was excited and asked for something that is matte and not too expensive and the lady recommended these Classic matte lipglosses. I asked for the price and when she told me i was shocked and asked her if they were original just because the price was low, she said madam please we only sell original products here but. don't blame me nah all the reviews i have been seeing in matte lip glosses...the cheapest is 1000N so you can imagine my shock. Guess how much i got them about 300 and something naira. like 325 naira
All the shades that i got were the ones i have always wanted so i quickly  choose them and paid. So these are the swatches on me

I like the packaging the lip glosses have and you can see through to know the color inside. so no cheating or dem say dem say.
The lip glosses are very dry and they don't apply very smoothly so you have to work through to give you an ok finish. I especially hate that they feel like you are carrying load on your lips.  They dry out very quickly so you have to blend well before it dries out.. The feeling is horrible but because of the price i can manage after all na only me waka come.

Do they last long? Yes, they actually do...do they move yes of cause after all the matteness if you drink water or eat it will follow your cup. But I'm getting used to it so i am still using it.

As with most nude lip glosses or lipstick, i can't wear the nude without lining my lips first. It always make me look like i have a mustache and my lips would look bigger. So, i always use a dark reddish brown lip pencil to line my lips before applying the lip gloss

WHERE DID I BUY IT:

NEXT CASH AND CARRY KADO

HOW MUCH DID I BUY IT:

300 and something naira

Have you used the CLASSIC MATTE LIPGLOSS?
What are your favorite shades?
How do you apply them to give you a better finishing?.

I hope you try it out and let me know your thoughts in the comment section. I love you for reading and till my next post...XOXO

NIGERIAN OKRO SOUP RECIPE

July 28, 2016

Hello beauties, howdy and hope your week is going g well. So I have been busy, did I tell u IFE had stuffy nose which didn't allow him to sleep or feed well and it has lasted over 2-3weeks now. Nothing is working. We have tried steam method, nasal drop and nebulizing and nothing seem to work. But I know with God all things are possible so I am resulting to prayer. After all it's the master key. So back to this deliciousness. True true, I didn't plan to post this here. It was supposed to be on Instagram but I thought of you my ride or die readers and decided to bring it here too. So follow me on Instagram @DIARYOFANABUJAMOM so you will get this kind of recipes as soon ad they are posted... Please grab a glass of smoothie and continue reading..
P.S: if you are into weight watching , this is very healthy so no fear and cook to your family size or your belle.

WHAT I USED:

Okro
Beef
Cow head
Kanda/ pomor
1 full Titus iced fish
Stockfish/oporoko
Islam/periwinkle
Seasoning
Salt
Fresh and dry pepper
Crayfish
Onions
Palm oil or tumeric powder

HOW TO PREPARE:
First of all wash all the washables with salt water. You know our food handlers are careless and dirty at times.
Chop the okro
Slice the pepper
Use mortar to pound some crayfish and onion

Pre boil your cow head cause it can be strong, you don't want it to be un chewable. I used pressure cooker, if you don't have use the normal everyday pot.

Steam your beef, pomor, oporoko together.
Add onions, dry pepper and seasoning, mix together. No salt yet.

Cook till done, add your Titus fish both smoked and iced then add little salt and cook for about 1-2minutes

In a separate pot, allow to dry, add little palm oil when it's a little bit hot add your pounded onion  mix and sliced red peppers.

Stir together for about a minute and add your chopped okro

Stir together for 3 minutes and add your steamed meat combo
Cook for 5 minutes, add your periwinkles. Taste for salt and if the pepper is to your preference.
Cook for about 1-2 minutes and its ready for warking.

I didn't add vegetable cause I just wanted that crunchy okro feel but you can add green, ugu, bitter leaf or whatever you like and you mustn't use everything that I used, you can reduce hand, don't use some things or use more. Na your money and appetite go determine wetin you want

Serve with akidi, semi, garri, foofoo, pounded yam and a chilled drink. Thank me later. I hope you enjoy making this as I did. I love you for reading and till my next post XOXO

I have written an okro soup recipe and i realised that it wasn't properly done so i decided to wite this more elaborate one, let me know which one recipe you prefer. See link here: FOOD: TITUS FISH OKRO SOUP
